UI Tests usually just involve going through all relevant aspects of a change (or after a major change, all aspects). And noting down things that may need to be improved, or just generally checking if the necessary functionality has been achieved. Usually the customer will do a more thorough UI Test but its generally good to at least smoke test after implementing or deploying a functionality.
